Well friends, it’s that time again! December is next week (what?!), which means our friend Charlotte will be making her debut shortly. This will be our third year with her.
I have to admit something to you though. A part of me thinks, “What was I thinking?” starting the Elf on the Shelf. It’s another thing I have to think about and plan for during the already crazy-busy holidays. But you know what? My girls don’t just like it, they love waking up to her each morning. It’s just so much fun for them, and so here I go again planning fun stuff for our elf to do.
Now, I’m sure you’ve seen a ton of ideas online and on Pinterest. There are so many genius ideas, ones that my kids would go hysterical for. But remember how I mentioned about all the planning? Yeah, I’m not trying to make this overly exhausting for myself.
Personally, I like to stick to simple ideas. Ideas that don’t take too much planning or executing to do.
Is that what you’re looking for too? Well, you’re in luck because I decided to make another calender for this year.
Simple and Fun Elf on the Shelf Ideas
So this is what my calender looks like for December. It starts with our North Pole breakfast (which takes the most time out of them all). The girls loved welcoming her this way last year, and so we’re doing it once again.
Some people may think I’m crazy for organizing it like this, but it makes it so much easier for myself to remember to move her each night, and just makes it fun to change things up.
You are more than welcome to download (and print) this calender out for you to use as well!
If you want to change things around, or add or take ideas out, you can download and print out this blank calender instead.
