I love having four girls! I love that they enjoy dressing up like princesses and love to have their hair done. What I don’t love is having a million headbands around the house.
So what’s a mom going to do?
Make a headband holder! One that can hold headbands, hair bows, and even jewelry like earrings.
I’ve always loved the look of a chicken wire framed holder! It just so happens that over the summer I found this frame, already distressed like it is too, for only TWO DOLLARS!! Was definitely an awesome find that day.
The chicken wire I found from Home Depot for less than $10. In the photo below, I also have some hooks. I was originally going to add those to the bottom of the frame to have another place to hang the headbands, but the frame is really thick and my plan didn’t pan out well. I may decide to use them later on…we’ll see.
It worked out that the chicken wire was the same width as the frame. So all I had to do was unroll the chicken wire on the backside of the frame, and use a industrial stapler to staple it onto the frame.
It’s seriously that easy! Just use some wire cutters to trim it and you’re done.
I have it hung up in my room, so the girls don’t make too much of a mess with it still. Basically, they have to ask for one.
Overall, it was an easy project, that any “beginner” can do themselves. I love the way it turned out and look forward to adding more to it, and eventually adding more of our jewelry to it as well.
