Belly wrapping is something I knew nothing about before my last child. I only learned about it, because my midwife recommended to me wrapping my stomach right after birth.
Many women believe that belly wrapping helps to flatten your stomach after birth. As the tightness eases the swelling of the uterus while supporting the legs and back.
The tradition of belly wrapping is nothing new. It’s actually been around for a long time, and much more common in foreign countries.
Should you expect weight loss from belly wrapping? No. Weight loss will come with healthy eating and exercise (after your 6 weeks postpartum checkup).
Last time, I used one minimally for the first couple of weeks. This time, I’m hoping to use it for at least 4-6 weeks. Even if it’s for a few hours a day.
Special thanks to Wink, for sending me their Ultimate Belly & Hip Shaper to use after baby comes.
Did you use a belly wrap postpartum, or do you plan to?
Wink’s new Belly & Hip Shaper is longer than the average band, and extends well beyond hip level. It is secured on the bottom and the top with our customary elastic band so it will not ride up when you sit down. This length provides compression at the waist as well as the hips, thereby helping wearers compress and shrink belly and hips UP TO TWO SIZES!
Also, stay tuned. Next month, I’ll be hosting a HUGE baby shower prize package which will include a Wink Belly & Hip Shaper!
