Today’s the last day of school. The last day my baby girl will be a Kindergartner, and it’s bittersweet. It feels like just yesterday she was learning how to walk across the living room, rather than learning how to read and write.
She’s learned so much this past school year, and I’m so thankful to her teachers for that. Besides learning a ton in school -way more than what we did in Kindergarten – her personality has changed. You will find me saying she’s six going on sixteen often, because boy does she act like it.
It’s hard at times. I lose my patience with her often, because she constantly says she forgets. More like she doesn’t listen, or follow through, but we’re working on it. She’s such a smart kid, that sometimes I feel like we’re not doing enough with her. I’m working on that too – and that’s why we made a summer fun bucket list. I have to keep that child busy, or she will make me go crazy.
To me, giving her teacher a gift at the end of the year is special. They spend so much time with our kids, and personally, even a small token of appreciation is something.
I spotted this cute teacher gift on Pinterest, and it seemed easy enough to make. I promise you we don’t craft very often, but when I do I like to go big. So instead of a simple note card to go with the jar of M&M’s, I bought an inexpensive frame from Target and hot glued crayons onto it.
I created this printable that can be printed out in a 4×6 or 5×7, that you are more than welcome to use. If you share it, or create your own teacher gift, I’d greatly appreciate credit for it.
Her first day of kindergarten and her last day of kindergarten. Schools out…for the Summer!!!
