Teach kids to be earth friendly! #LiveLiketheLorax #Giveaway

When you have young kids, one usually thinks there is not much you can do to teach them to be more “earth friendly” in our daily routines. That is not true at all!

From the start, kids are always watching every little thing you do and around two years old, they start to mimic your words and actions.

This is the best time to help educate our next generation to make good choices about our families, health, and environment.

Here are some easy steps that we take, and that you can do in your own home.

  • Turn the lights off, when you are not in the room.
  • Use your own reusable bags at the grocery store.
  • Recycle cans and paper.
  • When you do crafts, use things already around the house like paper towel rolls, and magazines.
  • Read to them books about loving our earth.

As parents, one of the best things you can do for your kids, is use products that are eco-friendly and safe to use around your children, pets, and home.

When it comes to having babies and needing diapers, cloth diapers are best way to reduce waist. For some, it’s not always the easiest to use.

That’s when Seventh Generation comes in. They recently introduced a new line of disposable diapers, that are free of chlorine processing, fragrances and latex, petroleum-based lotions, and are hypoallergenic. Better for the enviornment, better for you.

“Our diapers now have an improved environmental footprint, due to a redesigned core that is more efficient at absorption and uses less processed chlorine free wood pulp.”

We had the opportunity to test out the Free & Clear Baby Diapers on Kendall. At first look, I thought the diapers were really thin. However, not once has she leaked out of them, even through the night!

Right now, their diapers come in a cute Lorax theme design and come in sizes Newborn – size 6 (35lbs+).

Using eco-friendly products is an important step toward teaching my children about conservation, and Seventh Generation and Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax have joined forces to inspire families to save the earth’s resources with conscious consumption.

Created with our little ones and the environment in mind, Seventh Generation is the natural choice for high-quality and effective products free of fragrances, latex, chlorine and other harmful chemicals.

Make a difference by choosing Seventh Generation, now offering free shipping for orders over $50.

As the Lorax says, “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
