Sleeping Away from Home #SproutTV #Giveaway

My oldest daughter, Carleigh who is now five years old, has been sleeping over at my mom’s house for the past couple of years. Just recently my middle child started to stay the night over there as well.

It was so nice to be able to send the girls over to their grandma’s, to give mommy and daddy a little break.

Since Carleigh has been going over there for quite some time, we have never had any real problems. That was until about a month ago.

Some of you may remember me talking about her nightmares from Chuck E. Cheese. Briefly, we went there for a play-date, then that same night the girls spent the night at my mom’s. However, the next morning Carleigh told me she had a bad dream that Chuck E was standing by her door. She insisted that she didn’t want to go back over there ever again OR stay the night at grandma’s.

This was the first time ever she has felt that way.

We spent the next couple of days talking to her, letting her know it was just a bad dream and not real, and that grandma’s house was perfectly fine. We’re even thinking of getting her a dream catcher for her room at my mom’s house.

It’s been weeks now, and she is finally comfortable again to go over there and stay the night again.

One of Carleigh and Kendall’s favorite shows when they go over to grandma’s house is the Goodnight Show on 24-hour preschool television channel Sprout TV. Since we don’t have cable at home, it’s a really special treat for them, plus it always helps them get ready for bed.

The Pajanimals show, also features four fuzzy friends who all snuggle together and sing night time songs to preschoolers, to help them unwind. The show also helps you tackle common bedtime issues like getting out of bed, bad dreams and scary monsters. Feel free to check out these Pajama Time Tips.

How do you solve bedtime battles with your preschooler?
